LOCTITE® LB 8040 is a specialty mineral oil designed to loosen rusted, corroded and seized parts. The cold shock immediately cools parts down to -43 °C and creates microscopic cracks in the rust layer. This allows the lubricating ingredients to penetrate directly into the rust layer through capillary action. The product leaves a thin film on the released parts that provides lubrication and prevents rust.
