Swivel nut

Every car is equipped with a brake system. When you press the brake pedal, brake fluid is transported to the brake system through the brake hoses and brake lines. To prevent the oil from leaking out of the brake pipes, the pipe parts are connected by means of a swivel nut. The different parts of the brake lines can be firmly secured with a swivel nut. The pipe can be slid into the swivel nut and is then firmly secured with a nut, which is turned around the swivel nut. In this way, a flawless connection is made.

Which swivel nut do I need?

To ensure safe installation of the brake lines, it is important to choose the correct size swivel nut. Each swivel nut has a certain clamping range. This clamping range is expressed in sizes with an 'M' in front of it. Thus, the clamping range is shown as, for example, M10, M12 and M16. These dimensions have to do with the diameter of the pipe. For example, the size M12 has a diameter range of 4 to 8 mm. You will find these sizes in the product specifications of the nuts. This way you can determine which swivel nut you need on the basis of the pipe.
