    Gas spring, trunk

Tip: Replace both gas pressure springs for the best result. You can of course also order them individually.

Gas struts are used to safely and easily open and close the tailgate of a trunk or cargo area. To ensure that the flap does not close by itself, the gas pressure spring must be precisely matched to the weight and position points. Due to the slow release of gas, the gas spring may lose strength over a longer period of use. This not only makes it more difficult to open the tailgate, but is also a safety-relevant factor, because it must be ensured at all times that the tailgate does not close by itself. Febi offers an extensive range of gas pressure springs in the best quality. With a long-term aftermarket partnership with an OE manufacturer, Ferdinand Bilstein opts for consistent premium quality when it comes to gas springs.

    1. Long lifespan
    2. Perfect fit
    3. Strict quality standards
    4. Meet the requirements of the vehicle manufacturers

Quality from conviction. The gas pressure spring consists of a piston rod and a cylinder. When the tailgate is closed, the piston rod pushes into the cylinder, compressing the gas inside. If the lid opens, the gas turns off again, so that the boot lid remains up. Gas springs can only be fully functional if the gas in the cylinder does not escape.
To guarantee 100% tightness, Febi gas pressure springs are intensively tested. Our certified quality policy tests the gas springs offered for different applications and loads. These concern precise fit, dimensional stability, material quality, tensile strength and hardness.
