    DS 3000 brake pads – Track preferred brake pads with good friction for cold street use

    Ferodo DS3000 brake pads are suitable for more intensive track use. The DS3000 brake pads have a better coefficient of friction than the DS2500 and significantly better resistance to higher temperatures. This way the friction remains up to 650 degrees, where the DS2500 is suitable up to approx. 500 degrees, but slowly decreases after 250 degrees.

    The DS3000 gives significantly more friction when the temperature of the blocks increases. For example, you can brake considerably harder above 250 degrees than with a DS2500, where the friction of the DS3000 even continues to increase up to 500 degrees.

    The heat transfer to the calipers will also be smaller, so that the fluid will not heat up as quickly. This allows you to drive many more laps than you would normally be used to. The DS3000 gives a better pedal feel and is therefore easier to dose than the DS2500.

    The best combination for street and track:

    • Still very good bite when starting cold, which is a must for road use. Similar to the DS2500.
    • Average coefficient of friction of 0.48 gives confidence and very good braking power over a very wide temperature range. This applies to almost the entire temperature range. The DS2500 falls off after 250 degrees.
    • Very resistant to higher temperatures, but also gives a higher wear on the brake discs.
    • Due to the special back plate, there is less heat transfer between the block and the caliper
