Defective indicators

As already mentioned, indicators can also break. Not only the glass may break or the holder can come off in an accident, various technical malfunctions may also occur. For example, the wiring may break or contact breakage may occur in the indicator holder. Short circuit in the lighting system or malfunctioning lamps due to damage and / or oxidation, are also possible. Replacing the indicator light

You may have your blinkers replaced at a garage, but then the bill may add up. A bit of a shame because replacing an indicator is a job that you can easily do yourself. You can of course choose to repair the turn signals, but it is often cheaper to simply purchase new ones. Use the following steps to replace the complete indicator unit. Please note, the method may differ per brand, make and car model.

1. First disconnect the "minus" pole of the battery;

2. Then remove the housing from the bumper;

3. Squeeze the locking connection and remove the wiring;

4. Then remove the indicator light and replace it with a new one.
