How do I know if my pressure line is leaking?

There are several ways to check if there's a leak in the pressure line:

Visual inspection: check the pressure line for leaks around the connections, joints, and along the length of the pipe.

Use leak detection fluid: there are special leak detection fluids that you add to the system. These often contain a dye. You add the fluid to the air conditioning system and switch on the air conditioning. If there's a leak, you'll see the fluid coming out. Small leaks can be solved with special sealants that you inject into the system.

Pressure test at the garage: During a pressure test, the air conditioning system is connected to a compressor and pressurised. If the compressor cannot maintain the pressure, this indicates a leak. A detection fluid is often used to pinpoint the exact location.
