Lowering springs are an economical option for lowering the car. Lowering the car shifts the center of gravity, improving the car's road holding. This improved road holding has a positive influence on the stability of the car. This way you will suffer less from a diving effect when braking heavily and the car will lean less in the bends. Lowering springs do, however, cause the car's shock absorbers to wear out faster. The original shock absorbers of the car are made for longer springs. You can therefore buy complete lowering kits at Winparts. These lowering kits contain a set of lowering springs along with corresponding shock absorbers. With a lowering kit you therefore ensure that the suspension and the shock absorbers are perfectly adjusted to each other. This way you achieve maximum comfort and the shock absorbers are less subject to wear.

Lowering the car with a lowering kit

With the different lowering kits you can choose how much you want to lower the car. In the specifications of the lowering kits you can see how many mm the front and rear axles can be lowered with the set. This can be, for example, 35 / 40 mm. In this case, the front axle can be lowered by 35 mm and the rear axle by 40 mm. Is there only one number in the specifications? Then the number of mm for the front and rear axle is the same.

The lowering kits come with lowering springs and corresponding shock absorbers. These shock absorbers are specially made to perform with shorter springs. With a lowering of 35 mm or more, it is recommended to buy a lowering kit with corresponding shock absorbers. Do you want to lower the car less than 35 mm? Then you can also work with our separate lowering springs. You can use these in combination with the original shock absorbers. Please note: the shock absorbers will wear out faster because they have not been developed for this shorter suspension.
