Serpentine belt

The auxiliary belt, also known as serpentine belt, auxiliary drive belt, aux belt, fan belt, alternator belt accessory drive belt, and v-ribbed belt ? is basically the replacement of the V-belt in modern cars. The serpentine belt has the task to power the  alternator and water pump. In modern cars the aux belt also drives the  air-conditioning compressor and the power steering pump.
