Worn timing belt

A timing belt can last between 60,000 and 120,000 km, depending on the type of engine. As you can see, this is a spacious cute, so it's important to inspect the belt regularly and replace it in time. Replace timing belt

Rotate the crankshaft so that it is aligned with the engine block;

Remove all parts around the belt for better access;

Now loosen the tensioner adjusting screws;

Now you can put on the new belt. Pay close attention to the markings. The crankshaft marking should point to top dead center. The marking of the camshaft is on the same line as that of the block itself and can often also be recognized by a top dead center marking.

Then set the tensioners correctly and turn the crankshaft twice so that the belt runs taut along the tensioner;

Check that all markings are correct. Then reassemble all parts as before.
