With this Carpoint converter you can easily convert the 12 Volt cigarette lighter socket in your car, boat, caravan or camper into a French 230 Volt grounded socket. This makes it possible to connect devices with a 230 Volt plug to a 12 Volt power supply using this voltage converter. This way you always have a socket at hand. The modified sine wave inverter delivers a continuous power of 150 Watts. Temporarily the inverter can even deliver a peak voltage of 300 Watts.
The handy 5 Volt 2.1 Amp USB port can be used to charge a device with a USB connection. The inverter is protected against over- and undervoltage and short circuit and switches itself off when it gets too hot. In addition, the inverter is secured with a plug-in fuse that is easy to replace. The built-in cooling fan ensures stable operation and switches on automatically when the temperature or load is too high. The inverter has compact dimensions of 120 x 100 x 50 millimeters (LxWxH).
