Car air conditioning expansion valve

The air conditioning expansion valve is a vital component that maintains the necessary pressure within the system. The refrigerant in the AC system is under high pressure, resulting in a very high temperature. The expansion valve lowers the pressure, causing the refrigerant to cool rapidly. It then passes through the evaporator, where it cools down even further. The blower fan blows air over the evaporator, which cools the airflow and keeps your car's interior nice and cool.

Because the expansion valve operates under high pressure and significant temperature differences, it is susceptible to wear and tear. When the expansion valve is worn out, your air conditioning will no longer function properly. Therefore, it's essential to have the expansion valve checked regularly and replaced promptly with a good quality valve.

Car air conditioning expansion valve

The expansion valve is a small but essential part of the air conditioning system. Air conditioning cools by building up and releasing pressure. The expansion valve allows the air conditioning to release pressure. If the valve is broken, your air conditioning will not cool properly. At Winparts, you will find a wide range of expansion valves from various top brands, for a variety of car makes and models.
