Camshaft position sensor

A camshaft sensor is mounted on the cylinder head in your car's engine and ensures the correct timing of the camshaft(s). Because the timing is just right, the inlet and outlet valves are opened and closed at just the right time. When the sensor detects a malfunction, an error code is displayed on your dashboard.
